Can anyone else see the overlay during a call?
No. Both the live overlay and the main app window are excluded from screen capture — they never appear in screen shares, screenshots, or recordings, only on your display. One honest caveat: Apple changed how capture works in macOS 15 Sequoia, so in some apps on the newest macOS the window can still appear. On macOS 14 Sonoma it works exactly as described.
How do I stay hidden when sharing my screen on Zoom?
One setting does it. In the Zoom desktop app, open Settings → Share Screen and enable “Advanced capture with window filtering.” By default Zoom reads the raw display buffer, which ignores the macOS capture exclusion — with window filtering turned on, Zoom asks macOS for windows individually, and the overlay stays invisible to everyone on the call. Keep Zoom updated, and if the meeting is on macOS 15 Sequoia, test with a friend first: Apple changed capture there and no app can guarantee invisibility on the newest macOS.
Can I use it for job interviews?
Yes. Add your resume and go-to stories in the Mac app, and when an interviewer asks, you get a speakable first-person answer drafted beside the call — grounded in your own material, not generic AI prose.
Do my documents leave my Mac?
Your document files and search index stay on your device, encrypted in a local vault. Relevant excerpts and recent conversation context are sent for AI answers; document-based suggestions include source references. Separately, audio is streamed to Deepgram while listening for live transcription.
How does live transcription work?
The Deepgram-enabled Mac app uses Nova-3 for live English transcription of your microphone and call audio. Audio travels through our authenticated backend to Deepgram only while listening. Stop or pause ends capture and streaming. We do not save audio files in the app or our backend; saved transcript history stays on your Mac. Cloud transcription requires an internet connection and participant permission.
How do the free minutes work?
You get 10 free minutes when you sign in — one credit for each active cloud-assisted minute. Trial minutes are granted once per account and don’t reset when you reinstall the app.
What happens when my minutes run out?
Pick a plan on the website and your subscription follows your account into the Mac app automatically. No new sign-in, no new account.
Does it work with my meeting app?
It’s made for Mac and listens through your microphone, so it sits alongside any call or meeting app — Zoom, Meet, Teams, or a plain phone call on your desk.
